Our Mission

With over a decade of combined experience in the culinary and hospitality field, Octavia McKinnie began her professional journey in 2013, serving in leadership roles at restaurants like Ruby Tuesday’s and Giordano’s.

In 2021, she transitioned out of the restaurant industry — but her work in the kitchen never stopped. Through a continued partnership with a local nonprofit, Octavia now shares her passion for food by preparing hot meals for youth, leading hands-on cooking classes for children and teens, and teaching engaging culinary workshops for seniors.

The name Nue Vision was given to Octavia by God in 2019, though at the time, she didn’t know it was meant for catering. It wasn’t until years later — through divine confirmation and a clear vision — that she realized Nue Vision was destined to become a faith-based culinary company. In 2025, that calling became reality.

Whether she’s nourishing young minds through after-school programs and summer camps, or connecting with elders through food and conversation, Octavia brings the same heart for creativity, purpose, and service into every kitchen. Her work is more than cooking — it’s a ministry built on love, faith, and the belief that food can truly bring people together.
